Mis en Scene
The band are all dressed in dark clothing, which appears to be t shirts and jeans. This present the genre of their music which is rock with a pop element. The other character who are betting also are also in t shirt, jeans and hats yet the colour is slightly more colourful and brighter than the band which distinguishes them as a crowd. The main character is that crowd would be the character which could be considered the 'boss' who is dressed in a formal white suit. This demonstrates the difference between himself and the band, that they're on different side. Props used was money in the crowd, throwing in down into the arena demonstrating they're betting. The main prop for the boss was the cigarette; his hair was pushed back; he looked very slick through the stereotypical conventions, causing the audience to perceive his as a the 'bad guy'.
Camera Shots/Angles/Movements
One main camera shot used was close ups and and extreme close ups on certain props. For example, at the start there was the close up on the bright flower in contrast to the grey background. It could be argued that the representation is a foreshadow of the narrative; the video will contain a protagonist and antagonist and how the two characters will conflict. In addition, there are also plenty of medium shots which capture the the front on the band and the character, making it clear what the characters are doing. Tracking is a common camera movement in the music video; for example the scene where the camera was tracing upwards towards the character which gives a more edgy feels towards the fight. This allows the audience to track what the characters are doing and gives full view. High and Low angle are also used which helps establish the characters status. For example, a low angle is sued to view the 'boss' and the characters which are betting the money away. However, within the teddy like characters, a high angle is used which shows the audience looking down during the fights which establishes a hierarchy between the two groups.
Editing
The main editing technique used ins straight cut, which keeps the video clear and more easily focused. The pace however is very fast. The pace increases specifically during the fight and during the turn back, creating tension in the narrative. This demonstrates to the audience how quickly the hierarchy changes.
